Blue clouds over Daedelia and Mare Acedalium

This observation session detected clouds over Daedelia and Mare Acedalium. These two areas are often characterized by the presence of similar clouds.

Clouds often appear along with white clouds and mists, but blue clouds probably occur at higher altitudes. Blue mists also appear quite commonly over the terminator at sunrise, and sunset in the equatorial belt. Observations suggest that these type of clouds are relatively high in the Martian atmosphere, estimated to be around 15 to 25 kilometers.
