More surface detail on Saturn

























These images were acquired on July 18th, 2015. The top composite image is made up of stacked images taken through the large telescope using an infrared filter, while the one below is a composite colour image. It shows more intricate cloud bands along Saturn's surface as well as subtle features in the ring system than in previous images taken from the observatory.

The ring system of Saturn is very bright and the main divisions are visible.
