This very impressive lunar crater is circular in shape, with surrounding high walls and terraces.
The flat lava-filled floor is evident. The central mountain, which is 2700m high, is the most impressive feature in the floor casting its long shadow when solar position is low. Hills and craterlets are also visible in the crater floor.
